Meet your new virtual Bestie….
Hey ya’ll, I’m Porcsha! Welcome to my life. I’m originally from Houston, Texas but college, followed on by marriage to military has me hanging out in central, Texas. By day, I work for a big tech firm and by night I’m a new mommy and an imperfect wife. Im a night owl by nature and find I’m my happiest when mornings demand very little of me. In my spare time, I love to eat new things, steal moments of fresh air and find outlets for the overflow of creative energy brewing inside of me. If you let my hubby tell it, I could stand to take a seat and a chill pill sometimes.
In 2014 I met my soulmate via a surprise blind date and to this day I am so grateful I didn’t come up with an excuse as for why I couldn’t come out that night. Larry (aka Lj among friends, Bubba when summoned by wifey, and daddy when wanted by his Princesses) is my best friend, accountability partner and the butt of most of my “jokes.” While marriage isn’t easy by any means, his faithfulness, encouragement and protection make life, home and love a safe space.
In marrying my bubba, I was also blessed with the most hilarious bonus baby, Sophia! She’s 11 and my spirit twin. Fun fact: we also share the exact same birthday, how dope is that?! And although she doesn’t live here in Texas with us, I love her like she’s mine. In 2018, God granted me a precious gift of my own, my first baby girl, Penelope. We call her Penny for short and y’all when I say the personality is POPPIN’…IM NOT LYING! 4 years later, God did it again and saw fit to grant P a live in baby sister…our Leilani aka Leilei. She just celebrated her first birthday not too long ago and she’s most certainly keeping us on our toes. I’ve always said I wanted a big family and so far, Lj hasn’t stopped me! So we’re off to the races!
And of course, I’ve got to give ya’ll a little peek into what, better yet who, made me the human I am today. Can you tell which one of us in the mom? I’m not surprised, most can’t! My mama and I have the coolest most unique story of how we started this little family unit (more on that later) and she gave me the best gifts she ever could by making me an oldest sister. For 31 years, through all life’s crazy, sometimes scary and mostly exciting moments, they has always been home to me, the safest place I’ve ever known. My mommy and my sisters are my best friends in every sense of the word. We laugh, we cry, we gossip, we cuss each other out but #weallwegot and I wouldn’t trade them or our bond for anything in this world. Needless to say, you’ll be hearing a lot about them as we get know one each other better!
